About 60% of the stories in each Score 4 Reading package are non-fiction, and 40% are fiction. All stories were put through readability statistics software in order to determine appropriate grade-levels.

Every story has a matching audio CD. The CD contains an audio recording of the story, with the exception of the last part, which is saved for the student to read independently. 

Following is a sample story for the 6th grade level.  It is part of the mid-level package and used when needed at the high school level as well.
